I definitely didn't steal the idea of this from the BBC's broadcasts of the formula 1... ok, maybe I did, But 'The Chain' is 100% the best driving song ever created. Anyhow, this mash-up shows how important it is to have lulls in action. No-one but 90's ravers like a song that all chorus, because unless you're wired it gets boring fast. R.I.P Happy Hardcore. From a film perspective these lulls are used as a break from concentrating on flashing images, which can get overwhelming fast. The lulls then have the ability to contrast the peaks and make the action seem even more epic. In rush, these lulls are brief shots of other characters, furthering the narrative and intensity of the final climatic overtake sequence.
